GBPEC url address changed

I dont understand the problem with college authorities sometimes they keep changing the layout of site sometimes they play with pics and themes. What the heck. And c what happenes if I open it with firefox.
May be its a problem with the firefox which I doubt or may be a problem with the Javascript code but it shouldnt be the case with a good website. Anyway here are the statistics for www.gbpec.net

They are using same ISP so why different name. So I found out the reason. Very funny though someone else stole our domain name from us

It seems that whoever has created the website has no clue about javascript. Firefox encounters a due to the following statement which is incorrectly put in
— “js tag”
which should be replaced by the javascript inclusion tags:

Explorer is disregarding the “js tag” as there seems to be no javascript after the tags (Firefox is more strict when it comes to wrong tags). As far as my knowledge goes the are inclusion tags for java server pages (JSP’s). I generally include these for class import or running java in my jsp pages though deployment would require a java servlet container such as jakarta tomcat or jboss. Two obvious requirements would then be that the index page be either a jsp or servlet which obviously isn’t the case. Hence a pretty silly mistake.
The website itself seems to have been created in Frontpage and I am pretty sure the frontpage version that has been used has no direct javascript support from within the editor (I maybe wrong). It seems from the page sources that there is no javascript following the tags.
In regard to stealing the domain name, it seems our college authorities were extremely dumb enough to let the name expire and thus somebody obivously bought it up once it was free (pretty sure the ISP is involved). I don’t know why as a friggin engineering institution, the old programmers want to create a really old school shitty website fit enough for the 1980s. I am pretty sure website were better then too. Stupidity, is for the ignorant and arrogant and it sure shows influentially. In regard to CMS, firstly I am not sure if they have even heard of what a CMS is and second if they want to invest the time (since they dont know it they think its the most difficult job in the world). The Mambo CMS server itself is the easiest system to deploy though it does require extensive Linux knowledge.
I also cant understand the reason for deploying the website on an ISP. Why the heck cant the institution decide to deploy onto the .in backbone especially with all the CISCO grants that they have been jumping about. It just seems that the infrastructure planning for long term is not what I envision an engineering institution should be doing. The only reason why the friggin place is become stupidier by the year is because students have stopped being inquistive as they were when I was around. I remember all the chums planning as to this networking and that deployment even though core infrastructure was lacking.
